ONLINE COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY

Effective July 2, 2020, the Cancellation Policy for ONLINE COURSES is as follows:

If there is a need by a student to cancel an ONLINE course enrollment for any reason . . .
There is a $25/course cancellation fee.
Otherwise, the remainder of tuition is refundable according to the following schedule:

• Cancel 7 or more days before the workshop starts: 100% of tuition paid (minus $25 per course cancellation fee) is refundable.
• Cancel less than 7 days before the workshop starts: 10% of tuition paid (minus $25 per course cancellation fee) is refundable.

No refunds to tuition once workshop begins.

LIVE COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY

If a live course needs to be canceled by Spiritual Tao due to government COVID-19 restrictions, tuition is 100% refundable.

Effective May 31, 2020, the Cancellation Policy for LIVE COURSES is as follows:

If there is a need by a student to cancel a LIVE course enrollment for any reason . . .
There is a $50/course cancellation fee.
Otherwise, the remainder of tuition is refundable according to the following schedule:

• Cancel 45 or more days before the workshop starts: 100% of tuition paid (minus $50 per course cancellation fee) is refundable.
• Cancel 31-45 days before the workshop starts: 50% of tuition paid (minus $50 per course cancellation fee) is refundable.
• Cancel 7-30 days before the workshop starts: 25% of tuition paid (minus $50 per course cancellation fee) is refundable.
• Cancel less than 7 days before the workshop starts: 10% of tuition paid (minus $50 per course cancellation fee) is refundable.

No refunds to tuition once workshop begins.

 

Comments on Live Course Cancellation Policy:

People who need to cancel are naturally unhappy about losing some refund by the cancellation policy.
However, Spiritual Tao classrooms are reserved under contract for a large non-refundable deposit and rental fee.
Our costs in offering coursework are substantial and mostly non-refundable, regardless of who cancels or the underlying reason why canceling is necessary.

We do understand that life situations can come up, which is why we do allow some refund in our cancellation policy.
However, without a firm cancellation policy, we would not have a sustainable business for reasons mentioned above.
